Back in the 1990's I worked for a time share company in southern Florida and we had a lot of sales contests.
One of the perks our resort had was a yacht club membership. The resort contest prize for the sales people was a days cruise on a yacht.
We anchored at a spot and went swimming. One of the managers had brought his diving gear so he went for a dive. In the process he lost his wedding ring.
He wasn't very happy as he was a newlywed and he was worried his new wife would be upset. So before he went home he stopped at his jewelers and got a replcaement.
Problem solved.
Well the next month the same contest was held and the same stop was made. But this time the director of sales brought his gear and went in.
Being a very experienced diver he used a technique of swimming in a circle and looking. Well he was under a long time and we were getting worried for his air supply. As he later told us, he had been sure he could find that ring and he was about to give up and was sitting on the bottom thinking. As he was about to come up he saw a glint of gold from the corner of his eye, and low and behold, it was the ring.
What the manager did with it he would never tell us and we never could tell this story when his wife was around.
Hi Bob,
That is some story. It is amazing that the ring was found. Can't imagine what the chances of that are. Thanks for sharing.
